Ever Experienced Feelings of Impatience or Stubbornness?

Have you ever experienced the feeling of impatience, inflexibility and stubbornness? We all have these feelings occasionally but if these are moods that are taking over your daily experience it may be a signal that your liver and gall bladder is over taxed. Our bodies need to clean out and clear out the cholesterol and fat build up that often is a result of a diet high in animal protein and poor quality fats.

Asparagus with its pungent flavor works at reducing mucus build up and soothes the internal membranes with high doses of vitamin A, C and E. Look for asparagus with stalks are firm, dark green and crisp, not woody.

Foods to Cool the Mind

Quinoa is one of my favorite quick cooking whole grains, high in protein, easy on the digestion and strengthening for the kidneys. Quinoa's super nutritional profile also includes a good source of iron, B-vitamins and Vitamin E.

And if you are feeling short-tempered or tense in warm/hot weather increasing your intake of fresh leafy greens, berries and local fruits will cool you off from the inside out.
